A financial advisory boutique specialized in renewable energies and the energy transition. With over 10 years’ experience in the sector and 10 global offices across different markets.  

They advise their clients on strategic projects in either equity (M&A, venture or growth capital) or debt (project finance, private placements, LBOs) transactions.

The Cape Town office was incorporated 4 years ago and is currently working on several projects. The office covers sub-Saharan region with the support additional Africa offices. With ambitious goals for the coming years the ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial with a desire to establish a financial career in a fast-growing company in the heart of the Renewable Energy space.

In this role you will report directly to the Southern Africa’s Managing Partner and work in direct contact with the rest of the African team on active advisory mandates during all phases.

You will have the opportunity to support a diversify multicultural team executing the mandates awarded in the Sub-Saharan Africa region, which may be transactions/projects in M&A, Project Finance or Strategic Advisory.

Main Responsibilities include:

• Perform financial analysis of projects or companies
• Assist on and build financial models, (Project Finance or M&A)
• Due diligence on transactions

Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years’ experience within a corporate, an advisory firm or an investment fund
• Experience in infrastructure or project finance is a plus  
• Knowledge, experience with or an interest of renewable energy space
• Strong financial analysis skills, specifically with financial modelling
• Candidates must be South African or have the right to work in the region
