Job Description


As a Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for the design, development and building of our green hydrogen production facilities. Your responsibilities will include being the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the company and the engineering “go-to person” for our projects, defining and executing long-term technical partner relationships.


This role will allow the successful applicant to learn and develop best practices for building best in class plants consisting of essentially self-contained renewable energy generation coupled with state-of-the-art green hydrogen generation and processing for offtake.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive fundamental engineering projects to enhance green hydrogen connected to the growth and vision of the company 
  • Design of the integrated off-grid hydrogen production facilities
  • Project Development for each facility
  • Identify key partners and build relationships with regulators
  • Select / manage vendors / review equipment supply contracts
  • Lead engineering program reviews
  • Develop and own the Technology Roadmap
  • Lead technology development
  • Nominate new technology projects
  • Lead technology content for grant/loan applications


Qualifications / Requirements

  • Fifteen plus years of energy project development experience or related experience required, with extensive knowledge of the full-cycle development process
  • PhD in engineering
  • Demonstrated track record of successful project development from inception to start in the energy field
  • Familiarity with hydrogen production from electrolysis and hydrogen liquefaction
  • Understanding of renewable power generation from p.v. solar, battery energy storage, and overall plant power systems
