Project Manager – 18 – 24 months – Malaysia
Location: Malaysia
Start Date: September 2024
Company: multinational conglomerate that produces fire, HVAC, and security equipment for buildings. As of mid-2019, it employed 105,000 people in around 2,000.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, and oversee their successful execution.
- Lead and motivate project teams, providing direction, support, and feedback to ensure optimal performance and collaboration.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client requirements.
- Manage project schedules effectively, identify critical path activities, and proactively address schedule deviations to avoid delays.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate project status, issues, and resolutions to key stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Evaluate change requests, assess their impact on project scope, schedule, and budget, and implement changes in accordance with established procedures.
- : Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and correspondence, and prepare comprehensive project reports as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools, such as PMBOK, Agile, and MS Project.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
