 Project Manager – Contract to Permanent – Madagascar

Location:                                         Madagascar                    

Renumeration:                              Basic Salary

Role:                                                  The Project Manager will take ownership of and be responsible for all aspects of field activities on assigned projects and obtain successful cost results with respect to labour, material and equipment utilization. Including but not limited to, safety, quality, schedule, project communication, steel planning, sequencing, site logistics, subcontractor and client coordination.

The Company

A large international EPCM contractor who have seen exponential growth in Malaysia since 2017 and operate in multiple industries.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Partner with market leadership, project management and AE team to supervise, direct and coordinate management of construction projects, including direct liaison with owner and subcontractors to ensure efficient and orderly performance of the job
  • Develop and implement site utilization and logistics planning and schedule jobsite activity as required.
  • Plan and develop construction techniques and methods, material handling crew sizes and deployment, equipment requirements and task sequences.
  • Purchase miscellaneous materials and requisitions equipment.
  • Oversee review of plans and documents in conjunction with contract drawings and the coordination of shop drawings.
  • Check and verify dimensions with the design drawings and as related to shop  drawings.
  • Assume budget responsibility for labour costs, including subsistence, expenses and miscellaneous material purchases and equipment rental.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Building Construction or a related field of study
  • First Aid or CPR certified
  • Hotel / Church Construction experience or other relevant industries
  • Experience on High Finishes
  • Local experience in Madagascar is beneficial
