Lead Mechanical Engineer – Singapore - Permanent
Company Overview:
My client specialises in the design, construction, and management of state-of-the-art data facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and development of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), cooling, and other mechanical systems, considering factors such as capacity, redundancy, energy efficiency, and scalability.
• Manage all phases of mechanical engineering projects, from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with internal teams, external vendors, and contractors.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to a team of mechanical engineers, designers, and technicians, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and best practices.
• Continuously monitor and analyse the performance of mechanical systems, identifying opportunities for optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost savings.
• Identify potential risks and challenges related to mechanical systems design and implementation, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the reliability and resilience of operations
• Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that mechanical systems meet or exceed specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of [X] years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on HVAC, cooling systems, and/or building services.
• Proven track record of leading successful mechanical engineering projects, preferably in the data center or mission-critical facilities industry.
• Strong technical proficiency in HVAC design software, AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering tools.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards and codes, such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and ICC.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
