Instrumentation Engineer

Joining our client as an Instrumentation Engineer, you'll take charge of providing technical support in instrumentation and control across various operational facets including projects, maintenance, inspection, and turnarounds. Collaborating with diverse teams, disciplines, and contractors, your role involves problem-solving and fostering technical insights. You'll craft practical solutions geared towards risk management, operational efficiency, and defect eradication.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Crafting and executing proposals to enhance asset availability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Offering second-line technical support and expertise.
  • Designing, analysing, optimizing, and overseeing preventive maintenance programs.
  • Leading bad actor elimination studies, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), incident investigations, and reliability assessments.
  • Active involvement in HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL studies to ensure safety compliance.
  • Contributing to Management of Change (MoC) processes and optimizing technical design and documentation.
  • Reviewing project Front-End Loading from an engineering standpoint, emphasizing maintainability, standardization, and lifecycle costs.
  • Evaluating detailed engineering packages and project deviations.
  • Technical assessment of requirements, engineering, and construction documents throughout project phases.
  • Upholding data integrity for relevant fields and assets.

Your Profile:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical engineering (instrumentation), applied physics, chemical engineering, or related fields (master's degree preferred).
  • Possess 3 to 5 years of experience in instrumentation engineering and design, with refinery experience being advantageous.
  • Have thorough knowledge of relevant instrument design, engineering practices, and standards.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within multifunctional teams and engage stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Dutch is highly preferred but not mandatory; however, willingness to learn the language upon hiring is required.
