Senior Development Manager

Leap29 is excited to collaborate with an innovative International Renewables firm seeking a Senior Project Development Manager to play a key role in overseeing their Wind & Solar initiatives.

Operating across multiple global offices, our client specialises in developing, constructing, and operating Wind & Solar projects. This opportunity can be based in Lyon or Paris (Rueil Malmaison)

As a Senior / Regional Development Manager reporting to the Director of Development, you will oversee the end-to-end permitting process for Wind and Agri-PV projects.

Leading a team of 3 to 6 Project Managers and Engineers, you'll ensure timely and budget-conscious project completion. Collaborate with technical, securing, and institutional partners for successful project outcomes.


Responsibilities

 

  • Define and implement the entire development process until the authorisation of the entrusted projects
  • Coordination of internal and external actions (GIS, wind measurement, connection, environment, design office, legal advice, support Land tenure management) for the preparation and monitoring of the project
  • Coordination of environmental assessment studies
  • Preparation of applications for environmental authorisations and building
    permits
  • Supervise projects that are the subject of appeals before the administrative
    court
  • Manage certain specific studies inherent to certain projects or local issues identified from the start of the projects (Biodiversity or agronomy in particular).
  • Representation of the company on the ground, local authorities, local residents and the main farmers/landowners around the projects and on the provision of communal land and rural roads, communal roads and land consolidation association (deliberations, land supply agreement).
  • Coordination of interactions with all public administrations/authorities involved in projects.

 

Requirements

 

  • 5 years of experience in the development of wind projects in prospecting or development, and ideally team management.
  • Permitting and/or legal experience
  • Experience in prospecting and land management is a plus.
  • Excellent writing skills in French, both written and spoken
  • Professional English preferred
  • Based in / can travel to Lyon or Paris (Rueil Malmaison)
