Job Description

E&I Technician – Alkmaar

The E/I Technician is responsible for executing preventive and corrective maintenance, identifying faults, and conducting repairs on equipment. Working in accordance with the 28D planning (or prioritized by higher urgency), E/I technicians collaborate with the maintenance coordinator and/or scheduler. Detailed reporting of findings, malfunctions, and corrective actions is recorded in the MAXIMO Asset Management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the client’s onshore assets, ensuring quality and availability align with scope, regulations, and the companies’ instructions.
  • Coordinate tasks with Operators as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to approved working procedures.
  • Execute maintenance and modification activities as per planning.
  • Supervise service and sub-contractors.
  • Perform various tasks as directed by Maintenance coordinator or OIM.
  • Responsible for the proper use of tools and equipment, maintaining a well-organized personal toolbox.
  • Uphold good housekeeping standards at the site.
  • Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses, and potential hazards.
  • Mark up drawings after modifications and verify revised drawings.
  • Act as the work responsible for electrical installations.
  • Generate work requests for inspection follow-ups when required.
  • Provide daily reports in MAXIMO detailing performed work.

Essentials:

  • Medium-level technical education (MTS or equivalent).
  • Three years of experience in E/I maintenance in the process industry, preferably oil & gas.
  • Proficient in computerized maintenance management system (Maximo).
  • VCA Certification.
  • ATEX certified.
  • NEN-3140/3840 Work responsible when required and appointed.
  • Instrumentation knowledge (Level, flow, pressure, temperature).
  • Workable knowledge of office applications such as Word or Excel.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safe systems of work, hazard awareness, and mitigation.

Essential Knowledge of:

  • Metering systems.
  • Control systems.
  • Safeguarding systems.
  • PLC’s.
  • Dutch – Working knowledge.
  • English – Working knowledge.

HSE requirements:

  • Comply with the client’s general safety rules, safety rules regarding the professional trade, and work procedure rules.
  • Ensure full adherence to work permit instructions.
  • Utilize protective equipment and clothing.
