Senior Process Engineer

Start: Urgent

Ends: End of 2026

Location: Norway, multiple locations (Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger)

Description:

 

A new EPCI client of Leap29 are searching for a Process / Senior Process Engineer on a contract basis. This will typically involve managing the process team, process simulations, calculations, developing PFDs and P&iDs, data sheets, technical requisitions, package follow-up, etc.

 

Your extensive knowledge and proven track record in Process Engineering will be instrumental in guiding projects from concept to completion, ensuring efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility. It is expected that you will have at least 5 years of Norwegian experience as well as Process Engineering experience.

 

This role demands a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, industry-specific technologies, and regulatory compliance.

 

If that is you, here is the essential information:

 

Responsibilities:

 

Perform and evaluate process simulations

Preliminary and detail process design

Calculation and dimensioning of piping, valves and process equipment

Prepare P&ID, line lists and design reports

Project work in multidiscipline teams

Active participation in HAZOP, design reviews etc.

 

Requirements:

 

Master or Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or process related Engineering

Minimum 5 years process engineer experience on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (Oil & Gas)

Experience with EPCIC, FEED and early study projects

Experience with process simulation tools such as HYSYS, UNISIM and/or Flarenet

Experience and knowledge of offshore process and utility system and process control

Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, i.e. NORSOK, PSA, API standards etc.

Simulation competence preferable

English language written and spoken
