My client is a leading EPCI solutions provider when it comes to offshore structural design, fabrication and installation. As they expand operations in Norway, they seek to make the acquisition of a Project Engineer on a permanent basis. Job Summary:

As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the successful execution of offshore projects in Norway. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Your expertise in marine engineering and offshore structures will be vital in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.



  • Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, adhering to project timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Provide technical expertise in the design, fabrication, and installation of offshore structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints, and develop engineering solutions that meet their needs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost estimates for proposed projects, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage project documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to procure materials and services necessary for project execution.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with the research and development team to identify and implement innovative solutions and best practices in marine engineering.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes, and integrate relevant knowledge into project execution.



  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer or similar role in the marine engineering industry, with a focus on offshore structures.
  • Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles, selection of materials, and fabrication techniques.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and classification society requirements.
  • Proficient in using engineering software and tools, such as CAD, FEA, and project management software.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams, providing technical guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken), knowledge of Norwegian is a plus.
